Charvil Heroes Award 2026
Charvil Parish Council wishes to recognise and celebrate those who have made a significant contribution to the Charvil Community through improving the lives of local residents and enhancing the spirit of our village.
The Charvil Heroes award is presented annually to a local resident or group who has demonstrated exceptional service, initiative, or commitment to the parish.
Nominations for the 2026 Charvil Heroes Award close on 13th April 2026
The winner will be announced at our Community Connect Event on 20th May at Charvil Village Hall.
Award Criteria
Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Community Impact: Demonstrated a positive and lasting effect on Charvil, whether through direct service, innovative projects, or leadership.
- Effort: Contributions should primarily involve unpaid voluntary service, beyond professional or paid responsibilities.
- Inspiration: Acted as a role model, inspiring others to get involved or fostering a stronger sense of community.
- Residency: Must be a current or long-term past resident of Charvil.
- Inclusivity: Activities should have been accessible or beneficial to a wide range of residents, reflecting the inclusive values of Charvil.
Nomination and Selection Process
Open nominations will be invited from Charvil residents, community organisations, and local businesses. Nominations are open from Sunday 15th March to13th April 2025
There are two categories:
- Individual
- Group
A small committee, comprising Parish Council members and representatives of community organisations will evaluate the nominations.
The selection process will be guided by clear guidelines to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and impartiality.
Recogniton
Nominees will be invited to the Annual Parish Meeting, where the winner will be announced, and presented with their award.
Following this, winners will be announced in our Village Newsletter, on our website and social media and in the local press.
