🌱 Want to Help with Conservation in Charvil? 🌱
Formed in 2024, Econet Charvil is dedicated to carrying out conservation work to improve the biodiversity of parks and woodlands in Charvil. Recent activities have included coppicing, dead-hedging, working on nature recovery by removing brambles and creating areas for meadow flowers to recolonise cleared areas around the village.
Econet Charvil organises tasks on the second Saturday of each month, year-round, with their next session on Saturday 14th March.
New volunteers are always welcome. There’s no need to commit to regular attendance – you can join tasks whenever you’re available, or even for part of a task. No experience is required, training will be provided and task leaders are always on hand to offer guidance as necessary, and tools and gloves will be supplied.
Volunteers under the age of 18 years can only participate in Econet activities if accompanied by an appropriate adult (parent, guardian, social worker, teacher, etc.) responsible for their wellbeing and behaviour.

🚮 Litter Pick - March 21st 🚮
Join us for our 2026 Big Tidy Up on Saturday 21st March.
Our annual litter pick takes place all over Charvil, starting from the Margaret Gimblett Pavilion at 2pm.
Last year, over 20 volunteers, aged 1 to 80, joined our Parish Councillors, and collected 23 bags of litter, a broken chair, carpet and various other bits and pieces that had been abandoned throughout the village.
☕ Their reward? A nice cuppa and other refreshments at the Pavilion and a sense of pride for helping keep our village tidy.
🗑 We'd love you to join us this year. Maybe we can beat the amount of litter tidied up last year?
