πŸ—³ Neighbourhood Plan Referendum: 7th MayπŸ—³

On Thursday, 7th May, Charvil Residents will be asked to vote in the Neighbourhood Plan Referendum.

Leading up to Polling Day, we will be looking at each of the themes contained within the Neighbourhood Plan. A huge thanks to Rob Jones, Chair of the Neighbourhood Plan committee for his work in developing the plan, and for providing the key theme summaries.

πŸ€” What does the Neighbourhood Plan mean for residents?

The Charvil Neighbourhood Plan sets out a community-led vision for how the village should develop between now and 2040.
Its aim is to ensure that future development improves the village while protecting the qualities that residents value most.
Neighbourhood Plans give communities a formal voice in the planning system. Once adopted, the policies in the plan must be taken into account when decisions are made on planning applications within the parish.
In practical terms, this means the plan can help shape how Charvil growsβ€”ensuring that development supports the community rather than simply adding more housing. It also ensures the Charvil gets a bigger share of the Community Infrastructure Levy the funds that developers pay that can be used to provide new facilities.
