Wokingham Borough Council is consulting on plans to improve road safety and reduce congestion by introducing new moving traffic enforcement sites across the borough.
One of the proposed new locations is in Charvil (New Bath Road / Park View Drive North / Park View Drive South). The sites use cameras to check that drivers follow road signs and rules, such as no entry, banned turns and yellow box junctions.
Residents and road users can give feedback until 2 August.

☀️ Warm Weather Alert ☀️
12 noon on Saturday 4 July until 5pm on Wednesday 8 July
With temperatures forecast to exceed 30°C over the coming days, the UK Health Security Agency has issued a yellow heat-health alert for the South East, which includes Wokingham Borough.
While it's not as hot as the temperatures we saw a week ago, it is still a good idea to take sensible precautions to stay cool and well hydrated.
☀️ Stay out of the sun during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm)
🏠 Keep your home cool by shading windows during the day and opening them when it’s cooler at night
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated
🧴 Use suncream and wear a sunhat if you’re outside
👥 Check in on vulnerable family members or neighbours, and make sure they have cold water, any medications they need and that rooms are as cool as possible.
