EPF Playground Redevelopment

Charvil Parish Council intends to replace and improve the existing toddler playground situated near the Pavilion at East Park Farm. There are some funds available for this, but only a limited amount at present, so we shall be designing a playground to which we can add more equipment when further funds become available.

The current playground was installed many years ago and well before the building of the primary school by the developers of the East Park Farm Estate. It is designed for children aged 5 and under but we intend in future to cater for children up to the age of 11, to include the children from the nearby school.

We are currently collating the results from our online survey and from speaking to parents and children at the Charvil Piggott Primary School sports day. These will be discussed at the next meeting of the Full Council.

Unfortunately, we cannot include a zipwire or trampoline. The site is not big enough and is too close to housing for a zip wire and the high local water-table plus protected tree roots would make digging for a trampoline very difficult, involving extremely high maintenance costs to prevent it flooding.
