The People’s Emergency Briefing – community film screening

Charvil Parish Council is pleased to support a free community screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing, a 50-minute film exploring what is happening with climate and nature, what it could mean for everyday life in the UK, and how communities can build resilience to the changes ahead. The film brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts to look at the latest evidence and its potential impact on areas including:

• Extreme weather
• Food security
• Health
• The cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing held in Westminster, which was featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times. It includes contributions from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden and a range of voices from across the UK.

Following the screening, there will be an open discussion about what the issues raised in the film could mean for our local community, and what we can do as a village to build resilience and play our part in finding solutions.

Booking

Attendance is free, but places are limited, so advance booking is recommended. Everyone is welcome to attend, so please feel free to bring a friend, neighbour or family member.

The film has been created for audiences aged 16 and over. If you are considering bringing someone younger, please read the guidance for parents and carers to help you decide whether the film is suitable.
