Henley Literary Festival 2026

Book lovers can look forward to the return of the Henley Literary Festival this October, with 10 days of talks, conversations, performances and workshops for adults and children.

The 2026 festival is the event’s 20th edition and features around 140 events across venues in Henley-on-Thames. The programme covers everything from fiction, history and true stories to nature, science, sport, cookery and children’s events.

This year’s line-up includes Nigella Lawson, Julia Donaldson, Sebastian Faulks, Mel Giedroyc, Eric Idle, Joe Wicks and many more. There are also plenty of events for younger readers, including appearances from authors and illustrators such as Liz Pichon, Dr Ranj and Joseph Coelho.

Events take place at venues around Henley, including the festival marquee at Phyllis Court, Henley Town Hall, The Relais Henley and Christ Church. There are also online events available for those who can’t attend in person.
